About the word-type person

I'm David Faroz Precht, a Persian-American copywriter (brand & marketing), comic book writer, author, idea supply chain, adventurer, over 9000 level genius, and absurdist.

I’ve published one graphic novel, a graphic short story in an anthology, written several articles for the Onion, helped to rebrand whole companies, overhauled entire triggered email content for a giant tech company, helped launch user-created content sites and love a dulsot bibimbap (with two eggs).

I’m the guy that friends, acquaintances and family call on to workshop and beta-test ideas and products, or break down and edit stories.

It’s taken years to arrive at this point

I’ve lived in a bunch of different places and learned from each. Texas taught me confidence, Chicago taught me perseverance, Denver taught me to spot bullshit, Seoul taught me that the future is global and Oakland taught me how to apply ethics and social justice to everything I do.

I live by the adage: “All I know is that I don’t know / All I know is that I don’t know nothing.”
